Folded Plane begins with a simple gesture: a flat surface turned into a series of angled faces. The folds create a changing profile, so each plane catches light differently and casts its own narrow shadow.
A broad ivory form occupies the left side of the composition. It meets a taupe central plane before a narrow brass-tone line draws the eye toward the charcoal section on the right. These tones shift from light to dark, while the angular boundaries keep the composition precise.
The sculpted facets project from the backing at different depths. Viewed straight on, they form a balanced geometric arrangement; from the side, the folds become more pronounced and reveal the dimensional construction of the design.
The composition is defined by clean angular edges and contrasting surfaces. Ivory and taupe planes overlap visually with the charcoal field, while the narrow brass-tone detail emphasizes the point where the forms meet.
